We get educated!!!

Its hard to keep up with the new member of my daily routine. but i do know i will have time for this blog this summer. so to get things rolling i will like to start of with an article i saw two days ago:

This article is from the Houston chron; it points to one of the favorable aspects of the African immigrants in the United States. Here I am not surprised because i felt this when i was in college and mingling with the international students. so what do you think?

Welcome!!! we see the same things!!

This day had to come. like our ancestors who had a sense of community, I have come to realize the importance of community. Be it a community of Christians, Muslims, African Americans or immigrants. all these communities create an identity for its members as they face new or different challenges from the larger society they live in. Here is our case, we are a community of Africans in the United States of America. whether we are new or old arrivals to this land of immigrants, we would like to make sense of this new society we find ourselves. so feel free to make comments, contributions you would like me to post. if there are topics that i am not addressing and you would like me to address feel free to send it to me.
